Starting in June, we are excited to offer another round of women's book clubs for members, guests and friends of Sovereign Grace Church Woodstock. All ladies ( single and married) are invited to participate in various homes throughout the church. Our goal is to increase our passion for the Savior while enhancing our friendships with one another. In order to provide the most fitting titles, we have compiled a list of options. Take a look and let us know which books interest you most, so that we can establish groups, days of the weeks, and meeting times based on these needs.

Spring Classes
Spring Classes-2012
Gospel-centered Marriage by Tim Chester
Teacher-Gary Whalen
Gospel centered marriage is a practical guide to Christian marriage that focuses on how the gospel shapes the everyday realities of married life. It lifts the lid on many of the common pressure points that modern couples face, and shows how a proper understanding of the gospel leads to a fruitful, faithful and fulfilling relationship.
Marks of the Messenger by Mack Stiles
Teacher-Mark Pfaller
Evangelism is not rooted in a method but in something much deeper. It is found in what makes us whole and healthy messengers of God’s truth about Jesus. Mack Stiles shows how the gospel changes all of who we are and what we do. It means not just going through the motions of accepted behaviors. It means showing the unity of witness and justice. It means love. It means community.
What Every Man Wishes His Father Had Told Him by Byron Forrest Yawn
Teacher-Keith Lancaster
What does real manhood look like? Society can’t make up its mind about what makes the ideal man. Be tougher, say some. Be more sensitive, say others. And the expectations keep changing. It doesn’t help that church plays right along.
Where can we get a clear understanding of manhood-one that’s free of cultural baggage, that’s actually satisfying?
The answer is Jesus Christ. In Him we find manhood perfectly portrayed. We find real solutions for our every challenge as men. And we find what every dad should tell his son.
Systematic Theology 2 by Wayne Grudem
Teacher-Brian Schlosser
If one of God’s attributes is independence from mankind then why did He create us? How should the fact that we were created in the image of God influence our attitudes and actions towards the environment? Is God displeased only when unbelievers sin or does he also have a response when Christians sin? If someone asked you to explain how Jesus could be both God and man at the same time what would you say? These are just some of the questions we’ll consider in Systematic Theology 2, Wayne Grudem's DVD series based on his book, Bible Doctrine. During this course we’ll study the topics of God, Man, Sin and Christ. Each session will include viewing Dr Grudem’s teaching on DVD and then a live discussion among class members.
